Class Projects

Creative Ad

For this class project, I had to make an interesting ad for Shark using a boring object like a vacuum. So, I used Photoshop to blend a bunch of pictures together. I chose images that showed off Shark’s cool features. I wanted the ad to grab people’s attention and make them curious about Shark. It was a fun project that let me be creative and think about how to sell a product in a cool way.

 Icon Project

For this class project, I had to get creative with Adobe Illustrator. The assignment? Design a bunch of icons using basic design rules like repetition, alignment, color, proximity, and contrast. With Illustrator, I got to experiment with shapes and colors, making sure everything looked good and made sense. It was all about getting the icons to match up, stay organized, use colors well, and be easy to understand. This project helped me learn more about design principles and how to use digital drawing tools. Working on each icon was a learning experience, and I ended up with a set I’m proud of.

Magazine Layout

For this class project, we had to make a magazine spread using Adobe InDesign. We used photos I took myself, following the design rules we learned. While I didn’t write the article, I did everything else—like how it looked, where things went, and what fonts and colors to use. It was a chance to put what we learned in class into practice. The project pushed me to think creatively and make design choices that fit the article. In the end, I made a spread that looked great and matched the article well.

Website Design Project

For this assignment, I had to make a fake non-profit website using only CSS coding on a WordPress platform. The screenshot shows the final result of all the CSS work I did. Also, I’ve included a video that walks through how I created the website and the design choices I made along the way. It was a fun project that let me practice my coding skills and design sense.
